Smoke detectors and tele-assistance in the homes of the elderly.

Since December, the City Council is installing smoke detection devices in the homes of elderly people who are users of tele-assistance.

It is a service that is part of the set of home care services that receive Colombians over 75 years of age who live alone and who already have the teleassistance device. Currently, 56 smoke detectors are already in operation and it is planned to cover about 200 households of people in the city that meet this profile.

Currently, with 2,300 people using tele-assistance in the home, Santa Coloma is one of the cities of the Metropolitan Area of Barcelona with greater coverage of this type of service.
